Welcome to the Grab & Go Kids Planner.

We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the info on the best family activities or events for the week.

1. Mom and Tot Playtime (infants to 3-years-old)
Where/When: 
Movement Theater, Mondays and Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Why Go: Take a break from the stresses of life to spend some quality time with your little one.
Price: $5 on Mondays, $8 on Saturdays (no registration required)


2. Because reading's good for 'em

Where/When: , Tuesdays, 1 p.m.; Wednesdays, 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.; Thursdays, 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
Why Go: “Read to Me” is for toddlers ages 2 to 5 and features interactive stories, songs, fingerplays and books.

3. A friendly and educational competition

Where/When: , Feb. 7 to March 19
Why go: The 8th Annual Write and Illustrate Your Own Book Contest is open to children in grades K-12. The contest is open to children residing in Nazareth, Bushkill Township, Lower Nazareth Township and Upper Nazareth Township. For complete details and rules, call the library at (610) 759-4932.

4. Month of Caring Food Drive

Where/When:
, through the end of Feb.
Why go:  Donate a non-perishable food item and receive $1 off admission. Needed items are cereal, jelly, tuna, pasta, rice, canned meats, stews, soups, canned vegetables, canned fruits, salt, sugar, diapers, toothpaste and shampoo. The drive benefits Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania. Limit is one discount per person with donated food item.
