Kayaking on Long Pond

Long
Pond Preserve in the Pocono Mountains has been called “one of the world’s Top
40 Last Great Places” by The Nature Conservancy. Join us on National Get
Outdoors Day for this evening kayak tour as we explore this scenic waterway
in search of nesting birds as well as unusual plants and animals. This will be
a great time of the day to observe and listen to the sounds of Long Pond’s
interesting bird life. Participants must supply their own kayak or canoe and
life vest. Participants should bring binoculars and meet at the Hauser Nature
Center on Long Pond Road.
