Lower Nazareth Spends $50,000 for Additional Parking

The township's Board of Supervisors approved the purchase at Wednesday night's meeting.

According to Tenges, the already-paved land is situated between the township's municipal building on Butztown Road and the church on Nazareth Pike (Route 191).
Because of the sharp right-hand turn at the intersection of Buztown Road and Nazareth Pike, many motorists cut through the now-sold land to head toward Hecktown Road.

The church agreed to sell the land under a few conditions, Tenges said.
“They want to have a crosswalk,” he said, adding that they'd like to have some input into the landscaping and be allowed to use the lot for overflow parking.
