Man Impersonates Officer: Police
Darvell M. Kish is charged with impersonating a public servant.

A 21-year-old Florida man pretended to be a police officer, telling a Nazareth woman that he would arrest her son unless she paid him $300 for a phone he said her son had stolen, according to court documents.
Darvell M. Kish, of Dania Beach, Fla., is charged with impersonating a public servant.
According to the arrest affidavit:
- The Nazareth woman told police that Kish had come to her house on Oct. 24, claiming to be a police officer and showing her a law enforcement ID card. He told her that her son had stolen a phone and that she had two choices: pay him $300 or he'd take her son into custody.
- The Nazareth woman said Kish had also gone to her son's work place, Kohl's, also claiming her son had stolen phones.
- The woman told police she feared for her family's lives because of Kish's visit.
- Kish was identified through a photo.
