Nazareth Area School District Warns of Man Posing as Intern
On July 5, a man who identified himself as Kai went to the home of a family near the Lower Nazareth Elementary School and requested "family and curriculum information."

A man claiming to be a Nazareth Area School District intern knocked on the door of a district resident on July 5 and requested "family and curriculum information," according to an alert sent to district families via phone and e-mail.
The alert, sent July 31 by Superintendent Dennis Riker, says the man is an imposter. According to the alert, the man identified himself as Kai. He is described as Asian and in his early 20s.
The imposter knocked on the door of a family who lives near the . Riker urges residents to contact the district and local authorities if "Kai" or any such person comes to their home.

"Please let your family members know that the District did NOT authorize anyone to collect information," Riker explains in the alert, which is available on the district's website. "If we ever need information, you will be informed by my office in advance of such information collection."
Riker adds that any individuals collecting information for the district -- with notice -- will have Nazareth Area School District identification.
