Nazareth Area's Nightingales to perform for Choral Directors
Nazareth Area High School's women's choral group selected to sing at the 2013 American Choral Directors Association Fall Conference.

TheΒ Nightingales, aΒ Nazareth Area High School womenβs vocal group, is among six choirsΒ selected to sing in the 2013 American Choral Directors Association Fall Conference.
The choir will travel to Millersville University on Saturday, Oct. 26,Β to present a concert to an audience of choral directors from around the region.
"This is an honor that is the first of its kind at Nazareth Area High School," the Β group said in a release.

The process began last spring, withΒ 13 choirs auditioning.Β Β
The Nazareth NightingalesΒ prepared an audition CD containingΒ three selections that the choir sang at a spring concert The CD was submitted to a panel of judges comprised of choral professors from around the state.Β

At the concert, the Nightingales will present six selections ranging from a traditional Zulu Dowry song to selections inspired by a prayer written in 1545.
Founded in 1959, the American Choral Directors Association is a nonprofit
music-education organization whose central purpose is to promote excellence in choral music.
