Nazareth's Jellybean Town Opens for Holiday Events
Before art classes begin on Jan. 2, 2012, Jellybean Town, USA wants to greet downtown Nazareth with some holiday events.
If you noticed a giant purple jellybean waving at you from 52 S. Main Street on Tuesday evening, do not be alarmed -- that was just the dancin’ Jellybean, the mascot for the newly-opened , an art studio for children and adults alike.
Children and parents crowded around craft tables on Tuesday evening, when Jellybean Town opened its doors for the first time for a free holiday event. The kids met the dancin’ Jellybean and made Christmas ornaments while the adults got the first glimpse of the newest addition to downtown Nazareth.
Jellybean Town features five “stores” where kids learn that “art is everywhere,” according to owner Tara Carson, a former teacher and Washington Township, Northampton County, resident.

“When you’re in the stores, you’re in Jellybean Town,” Carson said.
And in case you missed Tuesday’s event, don’t worry -- they’ll be doing it again today, Dec. 22, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is free for everyone, and Jellybean Town will have a special guest that night.

“Santa will be here Thursday!” announced the dancin’ Jellybean jubilantly.
In fact, Jellybean Town has a full slate of holiday events -- which can be seen on its website, or by checking out the flyer included in our photo gallery -- all leading up to the start of art classes on Jan. 2.
And, as Carson pointed out, Jellybean Town is not just for the kids. An array of art classes for adults are also offered, with crafts like scrapbooking, bird houses and painted antique windows.
