A judge has ruled that one of three claims can stand in a discrimination lawsuit filed by a former Nazareth police officer against the , according to this Express-Times report.

Vanessa Cruz-Smith is suing former Police Chief Michael Sinclair, current Police Chief Thomas Trachta and borough Police Detective Frederick Lahovski as well as the borough.

Cruz-Smith claims she was subjected to a hostile work environment because of her Puerto Rican descent.
