Register for Preschool at Nazareth YMCA

Registrations are open at the Nazareth YMCA for the start of school.

The YMCA is offering preschool programs for nursery school, Pre-K and gym activities.

Nursery school at the Y is for children age 3 by Sept. 1. The program takes place Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11:30 a.m.

The curriculum will focus on colors, shapes, numbers and alphabet recognition. Children must be potty-trained and able to participate in the program.

For Pre-K, children must be 4 years of age by Sept. 1. The program is Monday and Friday, 9-11:30 a.m., and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pre-K will focus on alphabet and pattern recognition, writing letters and numbers to 100 and fine motor skills, including zippering, buttoning and typing.

The Wednesday program includes an afternoon swim.

Gym activities include gymnastics, yoga, zumbatomic or obstacle courses with certified instructors. All teachers have early childhood or elementary education degrees.
