RIGHT NOW: Jerry Haines Takes the Stage at the Nazareth Center for the Arts

Performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Jerry Haines, as you read this, is taking the stage at the Nazareth Center for the Arts.

Haines is a singer-songwriter whose music can best be described as folk and contemporary folk. The guitarist finger picks most of his songs, and at times, mixes in some harmonica.

Over the last 30 years, Haines has performed at numerous venues throughout the Mid Atlantic and has shared the stage with some of the best, including Tom Chapin, Leo Kottke and Leon Redborne, just to name a few.

According to Haines' website, his musical influences include Bob Dylan, Graham Nash, Carole King and Joni Mitchell, among others. When it comes to his own music, Haines looks for inspiration in day-to-day life, in the ups and downs of life, in love and in happiness, making his lyrics easily relatable.

Haines has released three CDs: On My Mind, Into My Life and Hope the Next Town is Mine.

Admission is free, however, a $10 donation to benefit the Nazareth Center for the Arts is suggested.
