This Weekend at The Nazareth Center for the Arts

Daylen and the Drop D will perform Friday night; Brian Halloran, Julia and Diane to perform Saturday night.

Daylen and the Drop D to Perform Friday Night

Daylen and the Drop D will make their first-ever appearance at the Friday night. Taking the stage at 8 p.m., the band is made up of three 16-year-olds who write and sing original music.

The group hails from Reading and is known for folk, folk rock and alternative music.

Members include:

  • Daylen Orlich -- Frontman and rhythm guitar
  • Demitri Grivas -- Lead guitar
  • JJay Salter -- Bass

“Their songs tend to have a classic rock groove, contemporary folk melodies, [like Dar Williams] and alternative vocals," according to Paul Schneible from the Boyertown Times.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from the Nazareth Center for the Arts' online Box Office.

Brian Halloran, Julia and Diane to perform Saturday Night

Singer-songerwriter Brian Halloran will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Nazareth Center for the Arts. Halloran performs rock, indie pop and alternative music, and has spent the last 10 years performing in and around New York City.

Halloran, who just released the album “News from the Queen Victoria," has also played bass for the Irish rock band Ceann, according to his Facebook page.

Halloran will be joined onstage by the acoustic duo of Julia and Diane -- Julia Reisse is Halloran’s sister, who has also played in the band Peanut Butter and Julie, a pop/rock band that features another brother, Patrick.

Julia and Diane have performed locally at the Thrill on the Hill at the .
