Bushkill Township is hosting a program to honor and remember Veterans. The program begins with Nazareth Community Band playing a selection of patriotic music. Featured speaker is Gold Star Mother Ruth Harton whose son, Army Cpl. Joshua Harton, was killed in action on September 18, 2010. Other participants are The Rev. David Schaeffer (Invocation), Northampton County Sheriff's Deputies (Honor Guard), former Veteran's Director Ray Greene(Leading the Pledge of Allegiance), Lizzi Brodt (singing The National Anthem),Boy Scout Troop 74 (Flag Retirement), Randy Baxendale (playing Taps), and Firing Squad Detail of the U.S. Army Reserve's 744th Military Police Batallion (21-Gun Salute). Flags for display and dedication may be ordered at a cost $5.00. The name of each sponsored Veteran will be read during the ceremony. Order deadline is May 12. Information 610 759-1250.
