The 3rd annual diversity night celebration was held Friday night at .

Sponsored by Nazareth Area School District's Diversity Council, the celebration treated those in attendance with a variety of ethnic cuisines and musical entertainment, largely performed by NASD students.

In a letter inviting parents and students to the celebration, one paragraph stood out:

"Our diversity is not defined by race, disability, social status, or any of the things which highlight our differences.  In fact, our diversity has been established to embrace the extraordinary distinctions that make us who we are and sometimes come with negativity.  We believe education, exposure, and interaction are the most effective ways to achieve appreciation for one’s uniqueness."
