Water Main Improvement Project To Close Streets In Lambertville

LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. — The City of Lambertville has announced road closures tied to the South Franklin Street water main replacement project, with work beginning Monday and a longer weekday closure starting Tuesday.

On Monday, April 13, South Franklin and Swan streets will be closed during the day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the city. The closure includes South Franklin Street from Swan to Highland Avenue and Swan Street from Rt. 165 to Studdiford Street. The installation of a new water main will be done by Earle Construction.

Starting Tuesday, April 14, South Franklin Street will be closed to traffic and parking for the next four weeks, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, according to the city. That closure covers South Franklin Street from Swan to Highland Avenue. The water main replacement project is being done by Veolia Water and Earle Construction.

According to the city, parking will not be permitted on South Franklin Street between Swan and Highland Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. The city said the Tuesday schedule will remain in effect until further notice.
