NEW HOPE, PA — The excitement at Phillips’ Mill did not end when the doors closed at 5 p.m. on March 15. As soon as the 2026 Mill Members Art Show and Sale concluded, volunteers began tallying People’s Choice Award ballots cast by the nearly 900 visitors who attended the two-weekend exhibition, voting for their favorite artwork in the show.

First place was won by Bradley Hendershot of Green Lane for "Bedtime," a finely detailed watercolor of a Bucks County stone farmhouse. Holly Layman of Perkiomenville took second place with "Oliver," a whimsical, life-sized cardboard sculpture of her pet Corgi.

Third place winner, The Traveler by Robert Papp.

Quakertown’s Robert Papp’s "The Traveler," a photorealistic oil painting of an Asian monk, took third place.

Each of the winning artists received cash prizes made possible by the generosity of Solebury residents David Gaudette and David Maue. Their sponsorship also helped underwrite the cost of shuttle buses and security staffing for opening day, as well as other operating expenses.

In just three years since its inception, the Phillips’ Mill Members Art Show and Sale has become a much-anticipated regional event. Visitors praised the breadth and quality of the artwork, as well as the way the show reflects the Bucks County area’s uniquely vibrant artistic community.
