During the investigation, still photos of the man inside the restaurant were released by police and circulated widely in the local press. On Thursday morning, police announced that they had identified the person involved in the break-in.

The business was identified by police only as a restaurant on South Main Street. No other information about damage, losses, or injuries was released in the department's update.

For residents and business owners in New Hope's downtown area, the case drew attention after police shared images from inside the restaurant and asked the public to help identify the man. Thursday's announcement answered that part of the investigation, though key details remain undisclosed.

As of Thursday morning, police had not announced charges or released the name of the person they identified. Any further updates, including possible charges or court filings, would likely come from the New Hope Police Department.
