SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has awarded Solebury Township a Transportation Alternatives Set Aside (TASA) grant of $1,497,400.
The funding will support the construction of a new multimodal trail as part of the first phase of the future development of Solebury Green Park located between Reeder Road and Shire Drive.
Project highlights include the installation of 1,320 feet of shared-use path and 280 feet of boardwalk, and improvements in safety, accessibility, and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists.
"This award is an important investment in Solebury Township’s long-term vision for a safe, connected, and accessible community," said township officials. "It will enhance access to Solebury Green and create new opportunities for recreation and connectivity.”
The project fills key gaps in the township’s trail network and marks a major milestone in the development of the 13-acre Solebury Green community park, which the township acquired in 2020.
The township will begin final design, environmental review, and permitting as we move this exciting project forward.
