3 Inducted Into New Hope-Solebury Communty Hall Of Fame

The Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose achievements, service, and dedication have left a meaningful and lasting legacy.

NEW HOPE, PA — The New Hope-Solebury School District recognized three outstanding individuals during its 2026 Hall of Fame induction ceremony, honoring their exceptional contributions to education, community service, and the New Hope-Solebury community.

This year’s inductees are Melanie Pittner, Richard Bush, Class of 1987, and Larry Keller.

"The Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose influence continues to be felt long after their contributions were first made," said Dr. Charles Lentz, superintendent. "This year's inductees embody the Pride of the Lions through their passion, perseverance, and commitment to serving others. Their enduring legacy reflects the values we strive to instill in every New Hope-Solebury student and will continue to inspire future generations for years to come."

Melanie Pittner (Contributor)

For more than 30 years, Melanie Pittner inspired generations of students as an educator, theater director, mentor, and advocate for the arts. Through her work in the classroom and as the leader of the Mask & Zany Theatre Club, she helped students build confidence, creativity, and a love of the performing arts. Even in retirement, Pittner continues to guide and inspire students through her involvement in New Hope-Solebury theater productions.

Richard Bush (Alumni)

A 1987 graduate of New Hope-Solebury High School, Richard Bush has devoted his career to education, leadership, and service. His distinguished career in technology education has earned national recognition, including the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Service and the National Outstanding Advisor Award. Through decades of mentorship, volunteerism, and educational leadership, Bush has positively impacted countless students and future educators.

Larry Keller (Community)

Former New Hope Mayor Larry Keller was honored for nearly three decades of dedicated service to the New Hope community. Throughout his tenure as mayor, he provided steady leadership during times of challenge and growth while helping preserve the borough's unique character and vibrant culture. A strong supporter of public education, Keller has also been a valued partner and advocate for the New Hope-Solebury School District and its students.

The New Hope-Solebury Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose achievements, service, and dedication have left a meaningful and lasting legacy within the District and broader community. The District extends its sincere congratulations and gratitude to the 2026 inductees for their remarkable contributions and enduring impact.
