NEW HOPE, PA — After nearly five years of work and planning, New Hope Celebrates will unveil its new Progress Pride-inspired street art installation this week on West Mechanic Street.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 25, at 5:30 p.m. to celebrate the new addition.
Designed by NHC board member Paul Kokesh, the new rainbow crosswalk “is a permanent symbol of inclusion, visibility, and belonging in the heart of New Hope,” said New Hope Celebrates.
“The installation reflects the LGBTQ+ history and culture that have long been part of our community,” NHC leaders said. “We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate this exciting new landmark together.”
The project is made possible through New Hope Celebrates’ collaboration with community members, local businesses, Visit New Hope, and support from Visit Bucks County.
A reception will follow at Karla's Restaurant and Bar.
