• Aftermath of deadly home explosion in Perry County (wgal.com) — Emergency crews from Newport responded early Wednesday to a devastating house explosion along Juniata Parkway East in nearby Howe Township, where an 81-year-old resident was found dead in the debris. Authorities say the Perry County coroner has identified the victim and scheduled an autopsy for Thursday, while investigators continue working to determine what caused the blast.
