According to organizers, the workshop will feature a practical demonstration by an expert Master Gardener. Attendees will learn how to choose native plants, soil, and containers, along with how to care for them.

“Container gardening is ideal for patios, balconies, or adding wildlife-friendly features to your landscape,” said the organizers. "It also helps support pollinators and birds while making a positive local impact.”

People who attend will also receive information about Pennsylvania native plants and where to buy them, according to the announcement. And participants will get take-home starter plants as part of the workshop.

Space is limited to 25 attendees. There is a $15 fee. To register and for more information, click here. Residents interested in attending may want to register early because of the attendance cap listed in the announcement.

The workshop is sponsored by the Newtown Borough Environmental Advisory Council.
