NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The community will be the biggest beneficiary of this year’s Hope on the Vine spring gala coming up this Friday at Rafters.
Tickets to the hottest evening in town are selling fast, reports gala organizers who have a memorable evening of music, live and silent auction items, excellent food, and socialization planned.
In celebration of its fifth year, guests arriving at the event - themed “Five Years Of Raising A Glass For Good” - will receive a Prosecco Welcome and Chef Joe Garvey will be serving a celebratory dinner featuring a filet station, a Mediterranean spread, and a seafood corner.
Organized by the Newtown Rotary Club, the event is the biggest fundraising evening of the year for the service organization, which will be raising funds for the club’s beneficiaries, from the the town’s firefighters to the Wrightstown food bank.
“You don’t want to miss this event. It’s going to be the biggest party in Newtown,” said gala chair Stephanie Eubanks. “This is our signature fundraising event. And all the money we raise is donated back to the community in support of Rotary’s mission of service above self.”
The not-to-be-missed evening will also feature live music, complementary photos, desserts by the Zebra-Striped Whale, a full bar, beer from Second Sin Taproom and canned cocktails from Ashland Distillery, and tying in with the Hope On The Vine theme, an extensive, curated wine offering.
A highlight of the evening will be a silent and live auction featuring some of the coolest prizes around.
During the live auction, guests will be bidding on a “Broadway Nights” package with a pair of tickets to a Broadway show, VIP backstage passes and an overnight stay at the Marriott Marquee; a “Wine, Dine, and Art So Fine” package featuring three days in Tuscany and three days in Florence; and a six-course dinner for up to eight guests by Chef Joe Garvey.
There will also be a chance to bid on a waffles and ice cream brunch collaboration between Chef Joe and Shari Donahue from Zebra Striped Whale; and a tour of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., with lunch provided by Congressman Fitzpatrick
In addition, a silent auction will feature 20 themed gift baskets brimming with prizes donated by the Newtown business community. They will include A Night At The Orchestra, Golf Outing at the Middletown Country Club, Relax & Renew, Go Birds and a Phillies Hall of Fame Experience.
“This year’s prizes are phenomenal,” said Eubanks. “We have some really high-valued, fun things to win.”
The evening will cap off with bourbon and cigars outside.
“It’s going to be such a fun party,” said Eubanks. “You get to dress up. It’s all-you-can-eat and drink. There’s music, dancing, and a chance to win some amazing prizes. Plus, you’re giving back to the local community. What more can you want?”
Tickets are $125 per person or $230 per couple. They can be purchased at the door or by clicking here. Dress is cocktail attire (black tie optional). The gala begins at 7 p.m. at Rafters, 101 Friends Lane, Newtown.
