Online NHS Art Auction To Benefit Council Rock North Scholarships

The public will be able to go online to bid for works of art created by North students. Each piece will start with a minimum bid of $20.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock North chapter of the National Honor Society will be auctioning off original student artwork for the benefit of the Thomas Ritenbaugh Art Scholarship Fund, which directly supports arts students at CR North.

Between May 7 and 22, the public will be able to bid for works of art created by North students. Each piece will start with a minimum bid of $20.

"Members of the National Art Honor Society have utilized the skills that they learned in class to create imaginative works of art for the show," said student organizer Lillie Albucker. "The pieces utilize a variety of mediums such as colored pencils, oil and acrylic paint, and clay."

Proceeds from the auction will support the Thomas Ritenbaugh Art Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to seniors in the art program with the opportunity to continue their creativity after high school.

If you plan on making a bid, you must bid higher than the previous bidder. You also need to bid in increments of at least $2. Be sure to sign up for text notifications for updates.

The auction will be live for two weeks from May 7 through 22. After 8 a.m.. on May 22, no further bids will be accepted. Once the auction has concluded, the winners will receive an email notification with information about artwork pickup and payment.

Two-dimensional works on paper will come matted. No framing will be provided. Clay pieces are food safe, but not dishwasher safe.
