NEWTOWN, PA — Gardeners, nature enthusiasts, and community members are invited to attend this weekend's "Go Native Plant Sale," hosted by the Penn State Master Watershed Stewards of Bucks County. The event offers a carefully curated selection of native perennial plants, ideal for enhancing local landscapes while supporting regional ecosystems.
The sale will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will be held indoors at Penn State Extension Bucks County located at the Grange Fairgrounds on Penns Park Road in Wrightstown.
Native plants play a critical role in maintaining environmental health and sustainability. By incorporating them into home and community landscapes, residents can:
“Spring is the perfect time to plant native perennials,” said Kathleen Connally, Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward Coordinator. “This event makes it easy for people to make environmentally responsible choices, while beautifying their surroundings.”
