NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between May 15 and 21, including theft complaints, narcotics investigations and an arrest tied to a dispute at a Wrightstown Township home.
On May 15 at 4:45 p.m., police responded to a retail theft at Ulta Beauty on South Eagle Road. According to police, the investigation is ongoing.
Police also reported a pedestrian stop on May 17 at about 5:30 p.m. in the area of Windy Bush Road and Old Anchor Road in Wrightstown Township. According to police, an illegal weapon and suspected narcotics were discovered and seized as evidence during the investigation. The subject was taken into custody and charged with a weapons violation and a controlled substance violation, according to the report.
On May 18 at about 3 p.m., a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report stolen packages. The total value of the loss was listed at $228 in the report.
Another narcotics-related case was reported May 19 at about 6:15 p.m. Police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Jeep Wrangler for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Brandywine Boulevard, according to the report. Police suspected narcotics were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending, according to the report.
Police also reported being dispatched on May 21 at about 8:45 a.m. to a Wrightstown Township home for a reported dispute. According to police, a woman was taken into custody following the investigation and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, and harassment.
