After hearing concerns from neighbors, the mayor, and a representative for State Sen. Steve Santarsiero, company officials agreed to reconsider a path that would instead use the Newtown Bypass, while asking for fast-track support if they change course.
• Assault Charge, Retail Theft, Warrant Arrest: Newtown Township Police Report (patch.com) — Newtown Township police detailed a week of activity that included stalking and harassment charges, two separate assault investigations at township residences, and an arrest on an active warrant following a traffic stop near the Newtown Bypass. Officers are also investigating a significant retail theft at the Lululemon store on South Eagle Road, where more than $2,000 in merchandise was reported stolen.
