8 Newtown Area Gardens Featured In 1st Ever Statewide Garden Party

Fifteen garden clubs will be taking part in the tour, each spotlighting local gardens that will be in bloom from Pittsburgh to Bucks County.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Countyside Gardeners of Newtown will open eight public and private Bucks County gardens to the public later this month as part of the first ever statewide garden party organized by the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania.

The event will be taking place - rain or shine - over two weekends - Saturday, June 20, and Saturday, June 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 90 beautifully landscaped and unique public gardens spanning 12 counties across the state.

Fifteen garden clubs will be taking part in the party, each spotlighting local gardens that will be in bloom from west of Pittsburgh to Clarion in the north, through Lancaster, and all way to southeastern Pennsylvania and Bucks County..

Locally, the Countryside Gardeners Club of Newtown will be featuring eight gardens, including six in Newtown, one in Bensalem and the Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve in Solebury.

The Newtown area gardens will be featured on Saturday, June 20. Tickets will be available on the day of the tour at the Half-Moon Inn, 105 Court Street, Newtown, and are good for both dates across the state of PA.

The $25 ticket includes a full-color tour book that will be mailed to the ticket purchaser and serves as the entrance pass to all the gardens over the two days. Tickets are available for purchase by check or credit until June 6. After June 6, tickets can be purchased for $30 on the ‘day of the tour’ by credit card at designated locations, including the Court Inn, Newtown.
