McConkey’s Market takes its name from the park’s McConkey Ferry Inn, parts of which date back to 1750. The building represents a typical country inn or tavern of the Revolutionary era. Tradition has it that George Washington ate at the inn prior to his crossing of the Delaware River.

Admission to the market is free and it will be held rain or shine. For more information, visit McConkeysMarket.com or “like” the market on Facebook at Facebook.com/mcconkeysmarket .
