WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — A Hand From Above, a Bucks County-based nonprofit, is planning an adults-only fundraiser in Wrightstown on Friday, June 19, with proceeds supporting the group’s disaster response and community outreach work.
The event, called Hope Runs Wild, is scheduled from 7 to 11 p.m. at Parkwood Therapeutic Riding Center at Swamp and Worthington Mill Roads. The evening will include food, music, farm animals, fire pits, a cornhole tournament, bourbon tasting, and drinks including cocktails, wine, beer and spirits.
“Hope Runs Wild isn’t your typical night out. Where else can you sip a cocktail under the stars, sample bourbon by the fire, watch a barrel racing demonstration, meet horses and farm animals, and even saddle up for a ride yourself?" asked Heather Kamasa, who is organizing the event. "We’ve created an evening that’s equal parts fun, connection, and community. Whether you’re planning a date night, a girls’ night out, or just looking for something different to do in Bucks County, this is an experience you won’t want to miss. Best of all, every ticket helps A Hand From Above continue supporting individuals, families, veterans, and communities in need."
Founded by Kamasa, A Hand From Above is a volunteer-driven nonprofit that helps communities before, during, and after disasters and has worked on disaster relief, humanitarian aid, and long-term recovery support tied to hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and other crises.
“Our mission is simple. We believe that kindness matters. We believe in showing up. Whether it's helping a family after a hurricane, supporting a veteran, or helping a neighbor through a difficult time, we know that ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they come together,” Kamasa said.
The event will also serve as the official launch of Hope Runs Wild, a growing local initiative focused on helping neighbors in need through community-driven support, volunteerism, and compassionate outreach.
