NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Former Bucks County Deputy District Attorney Edward James Furman Jr., Esq., has joined the Newtown office of Stark & Stark as an associate in the accident and personal injury group.
Before joining Stark & Stark, Furman served in the Bucks County Office of the District Attorney, most recently as a deputy district attorney, trying felony jury cases including homicide and complex narcotics matters, and leading multi-jurisdictional investigations into large-scale auto theft and corrupt organizations.
He previously served as chief of major automobile crimes, director of the Bucks County Auto Theft Task Force, and as a senior firearm and narcotics prosecutor, supervising other prosecutors and working closely with law enforcement and expert witnesses across a wide range of forensic disciplines.
Prior to joining the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, Furman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dominic F. Pileggi with the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas. He received his Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2015, and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Saint Joseph’s University in 2010.
Furman is a resident of Doylestown.
