WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — Here's a really cool way to kick off the official start of summer.

Owowcow Creamery is inviting the public to its first ever After Hours event at the company’s Wrightstown shop, where a late-night beach party is planned to mark the summer solstice, the longest day of the year and the start of astronomical summer.

The event will be held Saturday, June 20, from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. exclusively at its Wrightstown location, 591 Durham Road, Newtown 18940.

The store will take on a beach party atmosphere with a special menu inspired by the Jersey Shore. And the creamery is inviting guests to wear their best boardwalk gear and beach clothes for the occasion.

The event will also include giveaways, contests and other activities tied to the beach theme.

“All are welcome, no tickets or reservations required!” the event organizers said.

Since 2009, Owowcow has been hand-crafting super-premium ice cream from scratch using local organic and natural ingredients that support local agriculture.

Its ice cream cases hold 24 flavors of ice cream, including 12 signature core flavors that the creamery makes year-round at all stores. The other spots are filled with monthly specials and seasonal favorites, along with dairy-free sorbet and vegan ice cream.

Owowcow has locations in Wrightstown, Chalfont, Ottsville, and Easton in Pennsylvania, and Lambertville, New Jersey.
