UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA— The Revolutionary Run, set to step off on the Fourth of July at Washington Crossing Park, is the latest event to receive a financial donation from the Newtown Athletic Club's Have A Heart Foundation.
Linda Mitchell was on hand to present Harry Barfoot, president of the Upper Makefield Business Association, with a $1,000 donation as part of the Have A Heart Foundation's 52K in 52 weeks campaign.
The rain or shine community race, which brings together runners, families, and spectators from across the region, is more than a race - it is a celebration of history, fitness, and community spirit in one of America’s most iconic locations, said Barfoot.
Participants experience a scenic and historic course near Washington Crossing Historic Park, making this one of the most unique July 4th road races in Pennsylvania.

The Upper Makfield Business Association, which organizes the race, donates the proceeds back to the community in the form of financial support for the Upper Makefield Emergency Unit, the Upper Makefield Fire Company, and Washington Crossing Historic Park. Proceeds also support emergency assistance, education, public safety, and historic preservation.
"Whether you are a competitive runner, a casual jogger, or a supporter cheering from the sidelines, the RevRun offers an unforgettable way to start your Fourth of July while giving back to the community," said Barfoot.
