The Lingohocken Fire Company and the Northampton Township Fire Department responded to the scene with Northampton’s quint, tanker and rescue 3 arriving first, along with Lingohocken’s Chief 35.

Chief 35 reported a two-story single-family dwelling with a well-advanced fire throughout and added a tanker task force to the call.

Engine 35 arrived shortly after and led off with the deck gun, while being supplied by Tanker 35. After quickly making significant progress with the deck gun, crews transitioned to the interior, with multiple hose lines to knock the remaining fire.

Crews worked together with mutual aid companies to quickly bring the fire under control.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

When Chief 35 arrived, he found the family had safely evacuated and was at their designated meeting place.

“Please let this be a reminder to review your home fire escape plan with your family. While we hope you never have to use it, your family being prepared can prevent a tragic outcome,” said the chief.

Assisting Lingohocken and Northampton at the scene were Newtown Fire Rescue, Upper Makefield, Midway Volunteer Fire Company, New Hope Eagle, Warwick Fire Company No. 1, Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, Point Pleasant Vol. Fire Co., and Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company. Southampton Fire Company No. 1's Engine 2 covered Station 35. Chief 35 held Wrightstown command.
