New York Man Wanted For Passing Counterfeit Cash In Newtown

Any business or individual who believes they may have received counterfeit currency from this individual is asked to contact police.

NEWTOWN, PA – An arrest warrant has been issued for a New York man wanted by Newtown Township Police for passing counterfeit bills at the Newtown Shopping Center.

During the late afternoon on June 23, police were called to the shopping center following reports of a man passing counterfeit $100 and $20 bills at multiple businesses.

Following an investigation, police determined that several retail establishments had accepted counterfeit bills from a man who police later identified as Shane Degoat, 29, of New York.
