BUCKS COUNTY, PA — During August, Owowcow is featuring a Farmer Peach Sundae as part of its fundraiser for local orchards hit hard by a late freeze this past spring.

The sundae features layers of sweet honey cream ice cream, the sweetest roasted peach topping, house-baked gluten free oat crumble, hand whipped cream and a warm caramel drizzle.

A portion of the proceeds from the sundae, along with all of the shop's fruit-flavored items, will be donated to the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance and distributed directly to the impacted farmers who suffered a devastating loss.

"At Owowcow, our core mission is rooted in supporting local agriculture," said founder John Fezzuoglio. "We create our ice cream using their beautiful seasonal produce, and right now, our partners and friends need us more than ever. To show our deep gratitude and stand by them during this difficult season, Owowcow is donating a portion of all proceeds from every fruit-flavored scoop, pint, handheld, or sundae sold over the next three months directly to the impacted farmers."

Owowcow has stores in Ottsville, Chalfont, Wrightstown, Lambertville, N.J., and Easton. Store hours are from 12 to 10 p.m. every day.

"We invite you to join us in giving back to the farms that have always sustained us. Every scoop makes a meaningful difference. Please help spread the word, or consider making a direct donation to the BCFA here," said Fezzuoglio.

The fundraiser continues through September. The peach sundaes will only be around through August.
