Newtown Fire Rescue Swears In New Career Firefighter

NEWTOWN, PA — Firefighter/EMT Anthony Vaccaro has joined Newtown Fire Rescue as the department's newest career firefighter.

Vaccaro was sworn in during a brief ceremony at the Newtown District Court. District Judge Michael Petrucci administered the oath.

Vaccaro was born and raised in Easton, where his passion for the fire service began at an early age. He started his career as a volunteer firefighter before joining the City of Myrtle Beach Fire Department, where he gained valuable professional experience serving the community.

"Vaccaro has since returned home to Pennsylvania to be closer to family and brings with him the experience, dedication, and commitment to service that will make him a valuable addition to Newtown Fire Rescue," said Chief Glenn Forsyth.

"We congratulate Firefighter/EMT Vaccaro on his swearing in and look forward to having him serve alongside the men and women of our department," said the chief.
