Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Adrean Weidman: We opened our newest location in Historic Newtown Borough in March 2026.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you're in, and how did you get started?
Adrean Weidman: After working corporate retail for over a decade, I was at a crossroads in my career path, as was my accountant father. With our combined experience, we thought we had a good recipe for running our own retail store. In 2019, we had an opportunity to open our first business in Peddler's Village, a card & gift shop, & spun that into opening our first Pieces location in 2023.

Being Bucks County natives/residents, Newtown is a place we spend a lot of time with our family. A random weeknight, family walk brought us to 26 S. State Street's doorstep and the plan for our second Pieces location got rolling!

Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Adrean Weidman: Monopoly goes faster if you don't use house rules. I promise.

Patch: What's the most satisfying part of your job?
Adrean Weidman: Watching families and friends have fun together. Hearing the laughter and shared stories of childhood. Seeing fun shared across generations is so fulfilling.

Patch: How would you say your business distinguishes itself from the others?
Adrean Weidman: Along with our selection of games, retro toys, brainteasers, & puzzle books, we have one of the largest selections of jigsaw puzzles you'll find in stores and our prices are comparable to major retailers.
