NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock School District has once again been recognized by the Pennsylvania Art Education Association as an Outstanding Visual Arts Community.
Council Rock is one of just 46 school districts across Pennsylvania to receive the distinction, an honor that reflects the strength of the district's visual arts program and its districtwide commitment to arts education.

"Congratulations to Mrs. Lynch, our art teachers, and especially our student artists, whose creativity and accomplishments bring art to life throughout Council Rock every day," the district posted on Facebook.
According to the Pennsylvania Art Education Association, the honor reflects the district's commitment to providing students with a strong, high-quality visual arts education.
"Outstanding arts programs foster creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and self-expression, helping students develop skills that support success both in and beyond the classroom," said the PAEA in announcing the local recognition. "Council Rock's leadership and dedication demonstrate that the arts matter. By ensuring access to standards-based visual arts instruction taught by certified art educators, the district is investing in both student achievement and the cultural vitality of your community."
