NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock Newtown 9-to-11-year-old Little League team was recognized on Monday by State Rep. Perry Warren at the State Capitol in Harrisburg.
The team had an incredible season, capturing the District 30, Section 8, Pennsylvania State, and Mid-Atlantic championships before advancing to the Eastern Regional Tournament in Massachusetts, where they finished as East Region runners-up, including a dramatic walk-off victory over New York.
"Their resilience, teamwork, and dedication represented Council Rock Newtown and our Commonwealth with distinction," said Warren.
The team includes Crew Torok, Beckett Piccarreta, James Alexander, Owen Rottkamp, Ethan Hodgson, Teagan D'Andrea, Wade Bailey, Sullivan Herrity, Patrick Burger, Will Egan, Beau Guise, and Jakob Störmer, along with manager Eric Guise and coaches Brett D'Andrea and Mark Alexander.
