• New executive director to take stage at Newtown Theatre (centredaily.com) — Newtown residents will see a familiar face leading the historic Newtown Theatre as borough resident Peter Hall becomes executive director on November 1. Hall, a longtime board member and driving force behind the theatre's live music program, succeeds Andy Smith, who retires at year's end after a decade of guiding this community arts landmark.
