NEWTOWN, PA — Woodbourne Road between Big Oak Road and Cobalt Ridge Drive in neighboring Middletown Township is scheduled to be repaved this week.
According to PennDOT, work will take place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. During those times, motorists can expect periodic lane closures with flagging in place.
That stretch of Woodbourne Road includes the train station, so commuters should plan their trips accordingly.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
