NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Chamber Orchestra will set the scene for Halloween with a "Broomsticks & Bowstrings" classical concert on Sunday, Oct. 25, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Newtown Theatre.
The family-friendly concert will weave together spooky classics and beloved themes in a program featuring a string orchestra arrangement of Camille Saint-Saën's "Danse Macabre," Charles Gounod's "March of the Marionettes" (made famous in Alfred Hitchcock's thrillers), along with chilling pop-culture favorites from "Halloween" and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" among others.
Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com for $40 per person or $35 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $50 at the door on the day of the show (if available). All seating is general admission.
Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show. The theatre is located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough.
