NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — This year, parents and youngsters have a big reason to stick around after the Newtown Halloween Parade.
The Newtown Rotary Club is staging its first-ever children's fall fest from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brian Gregg Park immediately following Saturday morning's parade staged by the Newtown Borough Recreation Board.
The free family event will feature singing, dancing, parachute activities, and bubble blowing by children's entertainer "Yoyo" sponsored by the Zebra Striped Whale.
Yoyo, also known as Yvonne Kusters, blends live music, original songs, playful yoga, growth mindset concepts, and positive affirmations into her shows.
The event will also feature balloon sculptures, a Gold Pumpkins for a Cure decorating table benefiting the Little Hero Foundation, a spider Tootsie-Roll pop craft table sponsored by One Call Alarm, and a nature activity table courtesy of the Churchville Nature Center.
Adding to the fun will be a candy giveaway and a popcorn station sponsored by Newtown Borough Parks and Recreation.
