NEWTOWN, PA — Tickets are now on sale for The Peace Center's Fall Fundraiser kickoff event taking place on Thursday, Oct. 12 at the Rafters (101 Friends Lane, Newtown). RSVPs are requested by Thursday, Sept. 28.

This year, The Peace Center is honoring members of the Board of Directors who have retired since 2018. In addition to a variety of globally-inspired culinary delights, attendees can enjoy live music offered by the local band, Eco Del Sur, which performs Andean and Latin American Folk Music.

"This exciting evening at Rafters promises to be a night of joy, camaraderie, and charitable giving all to support The Peace Center and its peace-building work in schools and communities. Support of this event makes an impact and a difference," said development coordinator Lisa Litovsky.

"The Peace Center has been dedicated to offering conflict resolution workshops in communities and businesses and educational peace-building programs in schools for 40 years, and we've seen tangible results," said Danny Thomas, the executive director of The Peace Center. "The support received at the Fall Fundraiser will allow us to continue to bring The Peace Center's programs and workshops to our schools and communities, ensuring a brighter, more equitable future for us all."

Lisa adds, "Let's come together this fall, celebrate our community, and make a meaningful impact. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of real people!"
