Free Outdoor Screening Of 'E.T' Coming Up In Newtown

If your kids haven't seen "E.T." yet, you'll have the perfect chance to introduce them to the classic next month in Newtown.
On Wednesday, July 12, there will be a free outdoor screening of the classic movie as part of Newtown's Movies in the Park series. The movie will be shown at Linton Memorial Park beginning at 8 p.m. The park is located at the corner of Lincoln and Penn streets, across from the CVS.
But first, check out a screening of "Enchanted," to be shown tonight, Wednesday, June 29, at the park as part of the series. You can see the full outdoor movie schedule here.

The 1982 classic, rated PG, tells the heartwarming story of E.T., a gentle alien who gets stranded on Earth and befriended by a young boy named Elliott and his family. The story takes a tearjerking twist when the alien falls ill.
