Independent Film Night Planned At Newtown Theatre

Newtown Theatre will host another Independent Film Night on Wednesday, June 1 at 7 p.m.

The event is back by popular demand — an Independent Film Night in March drew nearly 200 people, according to theater representatives.

The June 1 event will feature a variety of short movies from local filmmakers.

"In most cases, the directors will present a brief introduction and take questions," according to information from the theatre. Admission is free but donations will be accepted. Not all films are appropriate for children.
