Newtown Library Company Book Lovers Party Is Saturday

The Newtown Library Company’s 14th annual Book Lovers Party is this weekend and tickets are still available, according to organizers.

The event, to be held Saturday, is a fundraiser that organizers call “the best party of the year” in Newtown. There will be hors d’oeuvre, desserts, cocktails, a DJ and dancing.

Plus, there are gift baskets and gift cards with more than $6,000 in gifts donated from a variety of local businesses including: The Blackhorse Tavern, The Capelli Shop, Friends Bar & Grille/Dolce’, Ned’s Cigar Shop, Newtown Theater, Oishi/KO, Piccolo Tratorria, The Pro Shop of Newtown, The Temperance House, The Velvet Slipper and the Tubby Olive.

The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 20 from 6 to 10pm in the Atrium at the Stocking Works, 301 S. State St., Newtown.
