Newtown Theatre Goes 'Wild' With Free Summer Kids’ Movies
No reservations or tickets are required for the movies, which will have a "wildlife" theme.

NEWTOWN, PA — The historic Newtown Theatre will screen its annual series of free kids’ movies this summer on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. Each of this year’s films will have a “wildlife” theme.
No reservations or tickets are required for the movies. Seating is first come, first served and doors open one hour before show time. This year’s summer lineup includes:
- “Free Willy” on Wednesday, June 28 at 10 a.m.
- “Madagascar” on Wednesday, July 5 at 10 a.m.
- “Ice Age” on Wednesday, July 19 at 10 a.m.
- “A Bug’s Life” on Wednesday, July 26 at 10 a.m.
- “Over the Hedge” on Wednesday, August 2 at 10 a.m.
- “Zootopia” on Wednesday, August 16 at 10 a.m.
- “Chicken Run” on Wednesday, August 23 at 10 a.m.
- “The Lion King” on Wednesday, August 30 at 10 a.m.
These screenings are for families only, not summer camps. Summer camps interested in bringing campers to the theatre for a movie should email manager@thenewtowntheatre.com for details.
