Today Only: Newtown Township Holding E-Recycling Event
The township is teaming up with PAR Recycle Works to offer the event, which will be accepting anything with a plug.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Parks & Recreation Department is hosting an E-Recycling Event on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Newtown Township Public Works Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Newtown.
The township is teaming up with PAR Recycle Works to offer the event, which will be accepting anything with a plug. Many of the items will be accepted free of charge, but some will include a cost. The event takes place rain or shine.
Items accepted without a charge include printers, mice, keyboards, audiovisual equipment, phones, speakers, motherboards, hard drives, power supply wires (chargers and connectors), computer batteries, laptops, gaming equipment, routers, servers, floppy disks, and docking stations.

Items accepted with a fee include older CRT monitors and TVs, $35 to $75 each depending on size; flat-screen TVs, $25 each; computer monitors, $7 each; air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and air purifiers, $25 each; microwaves, $15 each; and mini-fridges, $25 each.
The recycling event is open to the public. You do not need to be a Newtown Township resident to participate.
