Newtown's "Hope On The Vine" To Benefit Local, International Causes
The event takes place on Friday, April 14 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Rafters in the Newtown Business Commons.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — "Hope On The Vine," one of Newtown Rotary Club's biggest fundraisers of the year, is set for April 14 from 7 to 11 p.m.
The event takes place at the Rafters in the Newtown Business Commons. Tickets are available at www.hopeonthevine.com with proceeds benefiting the community. Past recipients have included the Newtown Fire Association, the Newtown Borough Police Department, Shop With A Cop, Ukrainian Relief and others.
This year, proceeds will also support Rotary's ShelterBox program, which provides shelter and necessities to people impacted by natural disasters.

The evening is chaired by Stephanie Eubanks and Danielle Wittig. Serving as committee chairs are
Paul Salvatore, fundraising; Juan Ortiz, entertainment and programming; Mark Gatta, food and
beverage; Kyle Davis, technology; and treasurer Ginny Kownurko.

The evening begins with a welcoming beverage provided by Triple Sun Spirits. Several food stations by Chef Joe Garvey will be open throughout the event including a Mediterranean station, a grille station featuring lamb chops and filet, and Cacio e Pepe tossed in a carved wheel of Pecorino Romano, among other options.
Towards the end of the night, Rotarian Shari Donahue from the Zebra-Striped Whale will be providing ice cream and mix-ins on a cold stone.
This year's event will feature two bars - the front bar featuring draft beer provided by Iron Hill Brewery, Newtown, wine and sangria, and a back bar offering mixed drinks.
Back by popular demand will be a photo booth and props by Carmela Scalabrino.
A short program begins at 8:30 highlighting the club's 70th anniversary followed by a
live auction. The Sam Ryan Band will be playing live music perfect for dancing.
After the auctions end, between 10 and 11 p.m., a bourbon and cigar bar will be open outside.
The Newtown Rotary Club meets once a week on Wednesday beginning at 12 p.m. at the Temperance House. It's motto is "Service Above Self."
